I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

RESOLUTION and my Mother's Head Stone!!

If you missed my post on my Mother's Head stone being cracked, please click HERE

My Sister went to the Cemetery on Sunday to see if the Digger was moved off of my Mother's Head Stone.

The Digger was gone, the new grave was covered but she could not find my Maternal Grandmother's head stone which was underneath the Digger when we were there last.

Barb had to dig in the dirt with her hands to find it !!!!!

They had left it covered!!

Barb called me this morning and said she was heading over and I had just came home from work so I said Joe and I would meet her there and I would be armed with my trusty camera.

She had met with the NEW Director and Caretaker of the Cemetery who just took over today before Joe and I arrived!!!!!

He was going to meet us at the grave site....

Doesn't it look a little bowed to you?

This is the crack that was visible under the Digger....

Looks like it is also cracked on the top?????

Sure looks like another crack!

And doesn't the whole thing look bowed??????

And YES, that is another crack!

The NEW Caretaker and Director of the Cemetery and my brother-in-law...

Holy Moly!!

It lifted right up!!!!

Big Crack! So that's what they look like!

My Big Sis, Barb, and my Brother-in Law, John.......

Barb's the Skinny One in the family!

Resolution:

The New Director was extremely nice and I almost felt sorry for him to have to deal with this within his first half hour on the job.

He was very apologetic and has promised us that a new concrete footer ( what was actually cracked) would be obtained and the metal plaque straightened out and bolted to the new footer.

They will also clean off and "unearth" my Grandmother's stone.

This should all be done in a week or so....

We will remain vigilant on this and he is well aware of that.....

Thanks so very much for your concern and outrage that you all have voiced.

We all greatly appreciated the care and support!!

I will let you all know how this pans out....

Many Hugs,
Deb
