I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

My Creative Space 2015, Part 2, Where Bloggers Create

Welcome to Part 2 of my Tour of my Creative Space!!

I have been working hard updating, organizing, purging and re-arranging this space since the beginning of the year!!

What can I tell you.......I still work full time....but only for 2 more weeks then I go Part Time!!

 WHOA!!!

Anyway, I have done so much in this small little extra bedroom making it My Creative Space that I need to show you it in several posts!!

In addition to all my weekly parties that I link up to, I will be linking both posts up to the Annual Where Bloggers Create Party hosted by Karen over at My Desert Cottage!!!
Please be sure to check out this amazing party showcasing all types and sorts of Creative Spaces!!

I  KNOW you will be inspired!!

I can't wait to make my rounds visiting all the link ups which I know will take me some time as I want to savor each one!!!

Thanks to Karen for hosting this wonderful party!!!

If you missed Part 1, please click HERE

In Part 1, I showed you half of my Craft Room.......

Yes,  I have a Tree decorated for Summer in my Craft Room.
Please click HERE to see the post on this Joyful Summer Tree!!

For Part 2 of my Tour, We will start where I left off........
The other half of my Creative Space!!!

Again, I apologize if the photos are a bit dark but we have been having so much rain and no Sun!!
As I mentioned in Part 1, this room was originally my oldest son's bedroom and is only 8' by 10'.
This is the side of the room that I have sort of dedicated to Sewing.........
I have Joe's Paternal Grandmother's Vintage Singer Sewing machine displayed in this room........

First, I want to direct your attention to the long shelf up by the ceiling.......
This shelf is where my son stored his DVD collection and I left it there to display some of my Pretties on it!!
I will let the photos do the talking.......
I love this old Home Interiors Picture......
It is surrounded by Home Interiors sconces and fans.......
Below the picture is another Home Interiors piece, a wood shelf
I made the little tea cup pincushion.....
I just love Joe's Grandmother's Vintage Singer Sewing machine......
I have a few vintage sewing items displayed on the top of it......

On this end , is a lamp I bought in Salvation Army and a lamp shade that I embellished .....
The Tea Set was a Flea Market find along with the Sewing Box.....

Thomas Kinkaid Pink Ladies......
This vintage Singer was also a Flea Market find...

I love the paintings on this old Singer.....

Vintage needle packs....
An old drawer from a sewing machine that I painted and use for storage.....
Vintage ribbon and more needle packs.....
The little pin cushion hanging from the knob was made for me by my oldest son.......
I was able to place a set of rolling drawers under the top of the machine....
 Some Pretties.....
Buttons in clear display cases, stored in a wire milk bottle basket.......
And I do have a lot of my sewing supplies in the drawers......
I did not re-finish this vintage Singer because I did not want to destroy the original finish and patina.......

Over to the corner........
I made this out of a chalkboard place mat from Michaels and a magnet board that I glued to it.....
Next to the machine is another set of rolling drawers......
A vintage picture and some of my Tea Cup Collection.....

This is where my son's bed was and he had shelves that he used for books and other things above it......
I left them there......

When I am in this room, I like to look around and see things that bring Joy to me....

I re-arranged this side of the room and was able to put another shelf unit here in the corner......
I love this mirror window pane and the reflections in it......
This picture was hand painted by another Blogger and I won it in a Giveaway several years ago.......

Storage on the shelves......

I used a white marker on Chalkboard Stickers and Tags.......
I decided to place my Sewing Table this way so I would be able to look at the TV on the other side of the room while sewing........

On the wall above the table......
Look at the reflection of the Chandy across the room in the mirror.......

The puck light under the shelf also provides more lighting when sewing.....

The "Kidney" table , as it was once called, was made by my Dad for my Mom......
The edges were a bit rough so I glued a pretty trim around the table.......
Storage underneath for a tub of Craft Supplies ........
An embellished waste basket that I made and use for Craft Books.....
I made a cover for my Sewing Machine and the seat of the chair out of a curtain panel......
The ruffle underneath the chair is a bed ruffle bought for $1.00 at a Thrift Store.......
I attached fringe to the bottom of the Sewing Machine Cover......
Next to the machine......
An old sewing machine drawer that I painted and use for storage.......
The green depression glass thingies ( forgot what they are called) are used for pins.......
I painted this shelf pink.......
It is perfect for shakers filled with glitter and those other containers are from Herb Ox Soup!!!
Some cans of OOPS Paint bought at Lowes are next to the shelf.......
I bought this wood shelf at a Flea Market and it was actually painted this way!!
This lamp was my Mom's and I embellished the shade!!
The tissue box cover is one of my Victorian Crafts that I make.....

Storage for patterns......
I bought the white organizer at a Flea Market....
Craft books and other things....

And that concludes my Tour of my Creative Space for 2015!!

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I re-arranged and re-organized this space this year.......
I will be going Part Time in 2 Weeks and I hope to spend a lot of time in this room......
 Creating......
 Dreaming......
 Seeking Inspiration.......
 And enjoying MYSELF!!!!!
In my next post, I will share with you how I created my Summer Tree that I have in my Creative Space......

And I love the glow of it at night!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
