I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Fairy Garden Projects, Part 1, 2016

You may remember that a few months ago, I did a post sharing the new Fairy Garden items that I bought in Big Lots.......
Click HERE if you missed that post!!

My intention was to add to this Fairy Garden in a Beverage Tub that I re-did last year using things I bought from Jo Ann Fabrics.....
But before I go any further, I first want to Thank the hosts of the Wake Up Wednesday Linky Party for featuring my post, Patriotic Front Porch !!
Thanks so much to Angel, over at Sew Crafty Angel, Angie at God's Growing Garden, Natasha at  Epic Mommy Adventures,  Natalie at Natalie Loves Beauty, Heidi at Heidi's Wanderings, Kate at  The Organized Dream  and Beverly at The Eclectic Red Barn!!

Please stop by and visit this great party!!

Back to my Fairy Garden Project.....

My oldest son gifted me an Amazon Gift Card for Mother's Day so I ordered this.......
A Galvanized Tub that is 31 inches long and 16 inches wide.......
I sprayed it with a clear sealant......
Joe then drilled holes in the bottom for drainage.....
I had 2 small dollies that were bought at Harbor Freight....
Joe drilled and fastened them to the bottom of the tub so I could move it around.....
See the dollies under the tub?
Then I went to work creating one of my new Fairy Gardens...
I first filled the bottom half way with aluminum cans to cut down on the weight.....

I added dirt and placed a fabric weed block down......
I then put down a layer of pea gravel that we already had and then added colored crystals for water and grass and river rocks, from Dollar Tree.  All of this I already had......

Let's take a closer look......

With money that I was gifted for Mother's Day from my younger son, I bought another house at Big Lots.....
I had the fencing from my doll house. It was bought at Michaels a few years ago around Christmas......
Little fairies sit outside the house.....
This fairy and sign were bought at JoAnn Fabrics last year.....
The green crystals were used for "grass".....
The Hens and Chicks came out of my yard...
I love this covered bridge.....
In the middle is a little walk way.....
You can see the Tea Pot House from Big Lots......
The Trellis and Bench were from JoAnn Fabric's.......
The 2 Fairies are new from Big Lots this year.....
The white gravel was a bag that I bought at a yard sale. It is made by Lemax for use with the Christmas Villages.....

I did buy more Fairies with the money from my younger son......
 A sweet purple house.....
With Wishing Well on the side of it!!
The "pond" made out of blue crystals with a little frog sitting at the edge.....
The ground cover that is planted here is from our yard......
So that is the first of my Fairy Garden Projects for this year......
It sits on the edge of the patio across from where we sit so we can enjoy it.......
The dollies on the bottom make it very easy to roll under the Patio Awning if heavy rain is predicted.......
I did spray all the pieces with a clear sealant to protect them from the elements.....
I did have more pieces so I decided to create a second Fairy Garden........
A Gnome Fairy Garden in the Beverage Tub that I used previous years......
I will be sharing this Fairy Garden in my next post.......

So I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
