I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Updating the Beverage Area with a Few Vintage Items

Since I have been stuck in the house with the air conditioning because of the high humidity and record breaking heat, I have been going through the house, giving each room a really good cleaning in preparation for decorating for Fall and Halloween!!

I dabbled with this corner in the Kitchen which is our beverage area......
Our coffee maker is a Hamilton Beach Brew Station which lets you pour one cup of coffee at a time, does not have carafes that could break and is no where as expensive as those other coffee machines ( you know which one I mean)....
I am a fan of Vintage looking Coke items......
I bought this sign at a Flea Market......
And than I found these tins in Walmart after Christmas one year with the same vintage Ladies......
The "Coffee" tin was bought at Micheal's a few years ago......
Instant Coffee is stored in the green one and extra packets of Sweetener is stored in the white one.....

You may remember the vintage Fiesta Ware platter and sugar bowl that I bought at an Estate Sale in the beginning of the Summer......
Click HERE if you missed that post......

Well, here is where I decided to use these 2 pieces......
The red and white polka dot tea pot was gifted to me and serves as a sugar bowl......
We mainly use Sweetener so I used the sugar bowl for the Sweetener packets.....
A vinyl place mat with a Rooster on it that I bought at Dollar Tree saves the counter from messes......
 Over in the corner......
I spray painted this wooden Mug Tree red a few years ago......
Love this vintage coffee cup that I got from a neighbor.....
The next 2 mugs were bought as part of a gift set bought after Christmas one year.....
The red mugs were gifted to me by a friend......
You can see that the mug tree sits on a marble turntable.......

Next to the mug tree......
Is a little Beverage Station that I made out of a shelf .......
I spray painted the shelf, which was once red, with Chalk Board paint....

"Perk 'Em Up Coffee Shoppe"
The red Chalk Board frame was bought in the $1.00 bins at Micheal's!

My feeble attempt of some Beverage Art!!
LOL!!  I am definitely no Artist!!

On top of the shelf......
A few vintage pieces.......
2 Vintage Tea Tins.....
And a vintage Cocoa container!!
You may remember that I also bought a few enamelware items at an Estate Sale awhile back .......
Click HERE if you missed that post.....
I decided to use them along with an enamelware mug........
For holding different Beverage items and packets of flavored Teas and Coffees......
I am looking forward to Fall so I can enjoy some flavored Teas.......
And some hot Cocoa!!
We are big coffee drinkers any time of the year........
After all, after working 37 years of Night Shift, I could I not be!!!

Soon, I will be sharing where I put the rest of my vintage finds in the Kitchen......
So I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie

  8. Terrific vintage items and I liked how to mix match the colours. It looks much easier to do than it is, well done. On the first picture I saw the little brushed aluminum tea can. I was hoping it said tea and sure enough. My grandmother had one exactly like it. love love love
